Italian Alpine skiing ace Sofia Goggia came within an eyeblink of the impossible and settled for the improbable in the women’s downhill, winning the silver medal just 23 days after sustaining multiple serious injuries to her left knee.
On January 23, a crash in a World Cup super-G in her native Italy left Goggia with a sprain, minor fracture and partial ACL tear in her left knee. She was on crutches for three days after the crash. Read More
