In the final game of two legendary USWNT careers, NJ/NY Gotham FC used two first-half goals and hung on through a wild finish to earn a 2-1 win and the team’s first NWSL championship.
The title match was the final game for World Cup champions Megan Rapinoe and Ali Krieger. But Rapinoe left the game in the opening minutes after a non-contact injury in the attacking half.
