Each year, the Naismith Women’s College Player of the Year Award is given to the nation’s best women’s college basketball player. The recipient of the Naismith Trophy is determined by a board that includes NCAA basketball head coaches, administrators and media members. The Naismith College Player of the Year Award was expanded to include women in 1983.

Last season, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark won the award after averaging 27.8 points, 8.6 assists, 7.1 rebounds, 3.7 threes and 1.5 steals while leading Iowa to a 31-7 record. This year’s winner will be announced on April 3. Read More
