Minnesota women’s basketball coach Lindsay Whalen to miss game because of emergency appendectomy

Minnesota women’s basketball coach Lindsay Whalen will miss the Gophers’ game Thursday at Rutgers after having an emergency appendectomy on Tuesday, the school said.
