Olympic gold medal coaches Dawn Staley, Kara Lawson cross paths again in USC vs. Duke

Dawn Staley and Kara Lawson faced off in the WNBA, played roles together on Team USA’s 2008 Beijing Olympics gold medal squad and both coached gold medal women’s basketball teams in Tokyo last summer.

Their paths have crossed since Lawson attended a summer basketball camp at the University of Virginia as an elementary schooler. Lawson said when she was younger, she first met a college-age Staley, along with Virginia basketball stars Tonya Cardoza and Tammi Reiss. Read More
