Sha’Carri Richardson Celebrates 200-Meter Win with 40 Meters to Go—and Still Sets Meet Record

Instead of coasting through the finish line, Richardson threw her arms up in exuberant celebration at the Kip Keino Classic. Sha’Carri Richardson celebrated her 200-Meter win with 40 Meters to Go and Still Sets Meet Record with 22.07 seconds. Richardson had previously won the 200 meters at Nairobi’s Kip Keino Classic, but instead of coasting through the finish line, she surprised everyone by slowing down and throwing her arms up in exuberant celebration with 40 meters left in the race. Despite her dominance, the 200 meter distance is not Richardson’s preferred distance. She claims nobody asked her to run the 100 meters in Botswana or Kenya, and is blessed for it. Read More
