Quads are coming to Olympic women’s figure skating, but Surya Bonaly started it all

On Feb. 15, a woman will almost certainly land a quadruple jump in Olympic figure skating competition for the first time. But she will not be the first woman to attempt a quad at the Olympics.

That honor belongs to Surya Bonaly.
