Girlfriends Kim Meylemans and Nicole Silveira to compete in Olympic skeleton race

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, skeleton sliders Kim Meylemans, of Belgium, and Nicole Silveira, of Brazil, will compete in the women’s event on Thursday, February 10. (A full skeleton schedule for the 2022 Winter Olympics can be found here.)

Usually, you’d expect to find a longtime rival at a World Cup race, not a long-term partner. Meylemans met Silveira on the skeleton tour a few years ago, but it took them a while to go public with their relationship.
