Danielle Collins, New No. 1 American Female Tennis Player After Australian Open, on What’s Next

Danielle Collins is already having a banner 2022.

Though she lost the Grand Slam women’s singles final to world No. 1 Ashleigh Barty at the Australian Open last Saturday, Collins tells PEOPLE that she feels like a winner regardless. Not only did she reach the first Grand Slam final of her career in Melbourne, but Collins also jumped 20 spots — from No. 30 to No. 10 — in the rankings to make her Top 10 debut.
