At peace after turbulent year, Naomi Osaka ready to enjoy tennis again

If Naomi Osaka was wondering if her message about mental health and the life of a professional tennis player was getting through, she’s had confirmation of it at the BNP Paribas Open this week.

“I’m like really grateful, because I was watching (qualifying) and I was walking around and usually when I walk around there are people like, win the tournament or, I have tickets to the finals, see you there, that kind of thing,” Osaka said. “Actually, everyone was just saying I hope you have fun.
